Last time I posted I had mentioned I was ready to dig into this thing (75 FJ40). It got slightly sidetracked by what I thought was a good deal of a guy trading me an 88 Toyota xtracab 4wd truck for a rusted out 73 Chevy I had. I spent the last several months working on it and finally sold it today because it just won't pass smog, & I was at that point I could still drop it and walk away without taking a loss. Besides, I have a perfectly good pre smog FJ just begging me to finish it...lol
Well, I took the cash I got from the truck, and am in the process of gaining front and rear disc brakes as I speak, er, type...
I have a power steering setup I harvested from a neighbor's 84 parts truck that looks like it would be pretty easy to adapt in.
Now here's another question I'm sure someone must have done some research on before, with the 2F engine, is there someone out there that makes a fuel injection conversion for it? I'm thinking of keeping the engine instead of doing the V8 Chevy conversion since this engine is good, it's just the carby on it thats a problem. I don't have to worry about smogging this one either.

I just sold that wore out 4.3 Chevy engine I had on the floor too....
