I have a RHD HJ47 with the 2H engine (12 volt) and I'm trying to locate the Ignition Relay.

The truck won't start unless I disconnect the motor rod from the EDIC. The tach, oil pressure, fuel guage, and hand brake lights also don't work among other things. The engine fuse is good. Reading through the wiring diagrams in the manuals leads me to believe the ignition relay is toast. Can someone point me in the right spot to find this? I know where the starter and glow plug relays are. I've also found the turn signal and wiper relays. My 47 has air conditioning on the passenger side. Is it behind the vents?

Thanks,
Andy

You are looking for the fuel control relay. If there is a bunch of other stuff in your dash that isn't working there may be some larger problem that is outside of the fuel control relay. It could be that it isn't getting power either. EPC doesn't give up location. I would start with the passenger side kick panel above the kick vent.

Thanks for the post.

It appears the previous owners have cobbled together some patch. There was no voltage at the engine fuse. I tried jumpering between the engine fuse and the lighter fuse and the relay woke up. I traced the clicks to some wiring and a pretty standard relay under the hood. I never did find the fuel control relay... The truck is running now, though.
