I can't decide if I should remove and plug off the rear heater or replace it and keep it as stock as possible. I am going for the purist approach so thats the only reason i am on the fence about removing it. I live in Austin, TX so I don't need it by any means but I do appreciate the unmolested idea of the ladder option. Let me know your thoughts.

Rear core. Assuming thats what it is since coolant is leaking from the center and not the hoses.

Fix it and go, I have a spare laying around my garage, just in case the one I’m running starts to leak. Swap em out real quick and fix the leaky one.

Fix and put it back. You may want to run it some day when your truck is overheating and you need to dump heat. I had a shop fix 3 cores for me, for $150. Not all shops will want to work on those 'funny round cores' but I found a guy who was a craftsman and not a button-pusher, and he was happy to do it.
