Idler Shaft size for 1985 BJ70... anyone?

Howdy,

Wondering if anyone knows the size of the transfercase idler shaft on a 1985 BJ70 (Canada)... 3B... H55 (5 speed). Ordering new gears from Mark's in Aus and want to be sure if I need the 34mm or 38mm kit.

I've rebuilt one 1985 BJ70 case, so not much of a statistical base there, but it was a 34mm.

38mm came out sometime in 1986.

Go measure yours before ordering parts all the way from Aus. Easy enough to get to underneath the truck.

one on my 85 is the smaller also, 34mm. As Jim says it's easy enough to ger under the truck with a tape measure and be sure.
