Does anyone know how to figure out what year a motor is with just the block number or frame number. This is for a non USA Motor. Came from Saudi.

Thanks so much. I am trying to help a customer pick a motor. He has two choices. One motor turned out to be a 1996 1HDT and the other turned out to be a 1998 1HDT-FT.

A 1HDFT you mean? Wow, I wish I was in the same predicament :) Doesn't Marv sell them in halfcuts? Then you can see the chassis number on the build plate.

curious1, will SOR be stocking spare parts for these motors, or will he have to special order them everytime there is need?

Dave

He does have half cuts. They came from Suadi Arabia. He has some parts like filters, belts, etc. The rest he can order as he has around the world parts books from toyota.
