Complete newbie here!
Im trying to identify my Chevy 350, which I inherited.
The numbers are
3970010
VO609OGC
11J212865

to the best of my knowledge.
Any help would be appreciated!

Look on nastyz28.com. They show how to decifer the chevy engine dates and look up the stamping codes.

That block casting number places it in the range of a 1970 truck block.

I've had two of that casting number and both were from a 1970 truck. One was a C350 and the other from a K2500.
 
If that block is from a 70’ pick up it should be a 4bolt main and that block has a higher nickel content so it will be stronger than later model blocks. Circle track guys really like that particular block.
