Ok so my new to me FJ 60 has several upgrades including this extended range tank. Wondering if any one can ID this tank. There are four 3/8" bolts protruding from the bottom of it in about an 18" square pattern. At first this made me think it was just a skid plate for the tank. After looking closer I can see that the filler neck and the fuel/vent lines are connected directly to fittings that are welded into the top of the passenger side tank wall. I have done a fair amount of searching and have come up with nothing that is similar to this tank. Any info would be great thanks.

Seems to sit too low to be the AUS/ Man-A-Fre style.. Maybe SOR or ?? not really sure.

Wish I had one to clone though.. I'd like one but, for 925.00.. I'll pass for now.

Could build 3 or 4 for that price.

I know it is at least 10 years old because the Cruiser has been parked in a barn that long. With my luck lately in fuel tanks I am hoping that the inside is not as rusted as the out side lol...

x2 on the specs. wish i could build one or have specs and have someone build one for less than man-it aint-fre.

I got a quote here in PHX, AZ for $450... that SIGNIFICANTLY less than man-a-fr$$

Thats for a custom steel tank. Specs/prints to be borrowed. And with F.I. ring (intank pump).

I'll get some specs and better pics of it when I pull it to inspect it for rust inside.

I have the same tank. I bought it from a Mud member in the classified it had never been installed. I believe he said it was from MAN-$-FEE. It didn't line up to any reasonable mounting positions and turned in to a major PITA to install. If I'm correct these were the first ones that they started to "try" and manufacture in the US and gave up. Overall the design is good the bolts you see on the bottom of the tank are likely bolted thru the structural baffles and don't hold the tank in place but who knows.
