Damn eves have spilled over onto my terrace for 2 years. Nothing being done about it. Well tonite I had an idea ...

3' x 10' terrace x 3' high. I'll build up the sides with plywood, and line it all with a continuous layer of tarpauline. Then let the over flow from the eves pound down onto my terrace as always ..

    3' x 10' x 3' = 90 sq ft

    Hydrology equivalents reveals : 1 cu ft = 7.48 U.S. Gallons = 62.5 lbs

Therefore my terrace's volume would weigh in at 5625 lbs. Add in the plywood and we're over 5700 lbs. More than half a ton over the curb weight of my 80 @ 4760.

Wonder if the condo corp. will mind .. :D

Naaw, I would take pointers from Hamlet, and let it thaw, melt and resolve itself into a dew .. and then simply allow it to evaporate, rise up, condense and make damn sure my balcony is under it's shadow when she dumps ...

Sure, that might work for the 500 pounds of organic turkey parts dog food that Eric likes to haul around...but it'll take a while for your 80 to thaw and melt (rust)...and even longer for it to rise up and condense after evaporating...regardless of what Willy Shakesphere thought...
