nice...

I hope you made it out o.k. eventually. Looks like fun! :steer:

I can understand you're stuck as hell, but why is the hood open? Time for a Snorkel too... :D

I also noticed the guy in the 80 attempting to skirt that mud hole coming in behind you. haha :D

I have those same thoughts...

"It doesn't look that deep, I can make it ok in my Cruiser... "

But we guess you made it home, or your logging this from your Sat phone laptop setup.

His solenoid box is mounted under the hood.

I was the 80 guy and momma didn't raise no dummy. I may be slow but I can be learnt...(I don't really talk or type that way, but when it comes to mud, it brings out my southern upbringing.:hillbilly:)

under the hood ? that seems sort of lame.
i installed it behind the grill and put longer wires to the plug and mounted it in the cover on the bumper ,,

super clean looking .

and you dont have to open the hood:D

Nice stuck in the mud shot!!

I actually prefer it mounted high and protected from the wet. And it was certainly easier to get to the solenoid box yesterday than it would have been front center...to each their own.

Sound like fun! The color of your truck do blended with mud pit pretty well.

Cheers,

Jay...you should have seen Alvaro taking La Cabra through Bronco Canyon! He's my hero!!!

All in a day's fun! No SAT phone. But thanks to almost all of our group being on 2M another of our group that 180'd out of Bronco Canyon (he has a 40-series with 32" tires and rear locker only...the fact that they even got as far as they did at Bronco is amazing to me!)...and headed North to this same mud bog where they got sucked down in the same hole; he was able to radio us and get help from Shawn & Dan who both had winches. Another 2M success story!

Under the hood and up high makes sense to me. I would run the controls into the cabin.... :)

I don't see the problem, you were prepared with the shovel on the back right?

It's always better to follow, so you can either watch the guy in front's line (whether its a good one or not), watch him get buried to the axles and winch em out... etc etc.... The Japanese are like that in business. When they come to a meeting, they never utter the first word, they like to be ready to counter :)

Looks like a pretty fun trip. I'm not much on rock crawling - don't mind a little, but I do prefer dirty muddy trails to boulders. I do like the mountain pass type trails in Colorado however..... Black Bear Pass is pretty s*** yer pants fun for instance :D

Yes it doesn't take much to get high and dry with 4 wheels spinning, and ideal situation to have a rubber skiddoo track mounted under the rig so you could turn it on and propell yourself forwards on the belly!

Anyone else get stuck in that mud hole? Looks nasty and now lots of clean up.

You know it's serious when a triple locked rig with 35s gets stuck.... wowers
