I need some help with my 80 fj40

What can I do to the factory vacuum lines and carb, smog pump, ect? I want to take them off and get some better performance. I don't want to toss them since I don't need smog equipment in rural oregon. My FJ is stock with all the vacuum lines, catalytic converter, ect? Any know of a good shop in Portland? Any help would be appreciated.

Do not throw the emissions parts away!!!!

Look up Jim C on here. He sells the parts to complete your "de-smog" and has a write-up about the subject at hand.

How about keeping everything as is?

I have the same year with California emissions. Everything works fine as is. Keep it stock!

If you are not a purist and want some better performance, look at ebay #261401012536 (which won't have any of the problems that folks here on Mud talk about). Or if you really really want much better drivability look at ebay #261715893989!!!!!
