I ordered some used rear interior cargo panels for my 12/82 FJ60 and got the wrong ones. I called them back and they tell me that I have later panels on my rig. :bang: Well I think that they sent me the later panels.
So I need to know if anyone can tell me if what I am thinking is true.
SOR & Toyota say that there is a set for FJ60's from 10/82 - 4/85. And a set for 4/85 - 8/87.
Chime in if you have any info or pictures of the later model panels.

The pictures below... The top with the speaker holes are mine from my 12/82 FJ60

The other without speaker holes are the set they sent me.

Thanks for any help in advance!

I know the speaker holes are not factory that is not my concern. I want to know if I got a mixed set or if the BOTTOM picture is for a later FJ60 4/85 - 8-87
The drivers side works it's the passenger side that does not fit my 12/82 FJ60

IMHO it looks like the top panel of the "ordered" picture is the later model, while the bottom panel should fit. But I'm not an expert...

Those are he correct panels for a US market '82. The later models have the split 2 piece panel on the driver side for access to tools and the jack. BTW the speaker holes are not stock, someone cut them out.

*******On closer inspection of the picture, you may have a mixed set. The drivers side is the correct early model but the passenger side looks to be the later model.

The top picture are the ones I took out of my 12/82 FJ60. The bottom pic is what I think might be the later model 4/85 - 8/87 panels.

YES!! the drivers side is correct it is the passenger side that is in question...!

I have a 5/85. this is a picture of homemade passenger side quarter trim traced from my original (I may still have the original at home if you need a pic of that). It seems to be the same as your second picture. You might also check with kevinmroland (www.wagongear.com). He makes storage side panels so he would be a good resource on what design is used when.

Here's my post with more pic's of the passenger side: IH8MUD Forums - View Single Post - Marine Board for rear side panels

Well,

This isn't what you asked for but....

It does confirm that the Passenger side you received is incorrect. Mine also has the "longer run" front unlike the indented driverside.

Hope that helps

Oh, and it's "insist"...."incest" is an altogether different word...

My 87 has a two piece panel on the drivers side to get to the jack and tool bag. The earlier 60's had the jack and tool bag under the drivers seat.

If you need pics you'll have to wait as i'm about to shish-ka-bob some marinated moose on the grill.:hillbilly:

Good God almighty that moose was deliciously tender! Thank heavens for Alaska.

Anyhoo, here's some panel pics to compare.

Let me rephrase this question .... Does anyone have a picture of the rear cargo panels for a 4/85 - 8/87 FJ60 ?

There is one in my rebuild thread BT-60 I'll see if I can get it posted here for you. BT-60 is a 4/85 model FJ-60
