So last weekend, I took my 4Runner trout fishing in the Sierras. Using the navigation, I started down this trail that eventually was impassable. I added some new dents to the skid plates before I had to turn around. In reverse, there is a camera that shows what is immediately behind and I came up with this crazy, but cool (IMHO) idea for all you rock-crawling crazies.

What if you mounted a camera somewhere underneath your rig to hel guide you over tricky terrain?

Obviously a major concern is damage to the camera - but they make very small ones now and I'm sure someone here has the knowledge and skill fab something.

Is this a dumb idea? I did a quick search and didn't see anything about this.

Maybe this should go in outfitting, but I really only care about the 40s.

Old news, huh? I KNEW I couldn't be the first to think of this....
