hey i just got ahold of this program that cross references
bearings it seems to work , it even accepts toyota part numbers
would this be a useful program to have. i cross referenced
a rear axle bearing 1974 and later and came up with this.

see pic.pic is bearing numbers for the rear axle bearing.

it comes up with some intersting info even gives the dimensions of the bearing

for the rear axle bearing .it even came up with a GMC part # that should work ,wierd

on the knuckle bearing it listed a volkswagon bearing that should work .,NSK,NAPA,TIMKEN,KOYO,SKF,CHICAGO RAWHIDE,BECK/ARNLEY,BCA,
and many other brands i have never heard of.

any body have any part #'s i can try and run through it .and se what comes up .

i hope you can see the pic .kinda small on my monitor

this program will also cross references ,seals, drive belts, filters ,mounted units.
but i only have the unlock code for the bearings .
too bad it would be nice to have the full program unlocked.

this is freakin great!!!

I would personally be interested in seeing the cross part numbers for the knuckle bearings, and front and rear wheel bearings. Pilot and throw out bearings would be nice also. Koyos are much harder to source locally compared with Timken, NSK, SKF, and Fafnir.

I will dig up some numbers you can cross reference.

BINGO ! Rusty beat me to it! Unobtainium smog pump bearing ...

Now if you could just find a source for Carbon Wipers !

I do not know what smog pump year you are referring to, but I had no trouble finding all the bearings used on my '78 smog pump. The four vane roller bearings and the front ball bearing and rear roller bearing are all available from various sources (local bearing houses to internet sources). There are threads on this forum that list the part numbers for all the bearings.

It's the rear bearing for FJ60 S.P. Don't know if it's the same as FJ40 units.

Anyway, Rusty lists the bearing #. If you can find it, please post the source.

The 84 FJ60 smog pump uses six vane roller bearings 2/vane (P/N NSK J-65) plus the front sealed ball bearing (P/N NTN 6204LB, this is a common bearing but you need the LB suffix), and the rear roller bearing (P/N NSK DB-36227) which I am told is listed by NSK as an OEM part which is not for sale.

I'm counting on the front bearing being the one that squeals and the rear bearing being okay. Unless I can find a cross reference to another part number. ;)

got it all figured out .all modules unlocked . see pic

as for that bearing i can't find anything
i still have to learn how to use the program .

i don't know how usefull this program will be after all
it doesn't seem to find that many of the numbers i plug into it.

heres the link to the program you must burn it to a disc .
once you have it burned P.M. for code

UPDATE i have been told that you have to register on that forum to get the download to work
