Okay, I finally got a chance to look at what was causing that scraaaappe when turning left in my 80 ???

I pulled the passenger side wheel, and started to inspect everything. It took me about 30 seconds to find the culprit  When we were replacing the front shocks for the lift, I remember the washers and nut came tumbling down when I pulled the old shock out from it's top mount :slap: Well, as you can guess the nut made it down between the splash guard and the rotor somehow :whoops: Thank goodness the smooth side of the nut and not the nyloc side ended up against the rotor. Hence, no rotor damage :D

Everything's fine now and I'm VERY relieved. What a load off my mind. I'm just glad I didn't go ahead and buy the knuckle rebuild kit and new wheel bearings I thought I needed. That can wait for warmer weather this spring/summer.

And in celebration of my find and cure...... I changed the oil :D

:D Loose nuts cause the majority of car problems ;)

There is a BIG one behind Junk's steering wheel :flipoff2:
