HZJ71 4in front speaker brackets (1 Viewer)

Ok so I bought a set of 4in Rockford Fosgate P142 to replace my aging front speakers. How has everyone mounted and replaced them? We all know that there is a funky angled bracket but I am just lost on what/ how to do this I can post photos from the inside later once there is more light.

Correct me if I’m wrong but that is a LJ-71, or KZ-J71, or RJ-71, or? not a HZ-71, unless front sheet metal was swapped

I had to trim two of the 4 screw mounts off my 4" (Rockford Fosgate R14X2), and then use the angle brackets as mentioned above. Pretty simple install all things considered. If you take the vent covers off that will give you easier access to the top screws.

The wiring was there at least so that was nice, the radio harness itself had been hacked out so I had to replace that, but they left the power and speaker wires so I just had to retrace them.

It is a KZJ71W. I always forget because when I search for parts HZJ7* shows up.
