Was going thru a pair of hubs and noticed one was Aisin and one Asco. Not familiar with the latter, they look the same. What is the deal ?

Borrowed from an earlier thred, Alex.

ASCO= Aisin Seiki Corporation = Aisin. They are one in the same. There was no merger between ASCO and Aisin. ASCO is Aisin.

Cool, thanks Todd !

Curious, as I’ve never seen an Asco before, is it collectible at all ?

The ASCO hubs I have are long bodied hubs to work with the less common 76-78 fine splined birfields. AISIN are usually somewhat newer short bodied hubs (for the shorter birfields). This has been my observation… and there may be other variables I’ve not seen.
