How's the rust on this truck? (1 Viewer)

I'm looking at buying this Cruiser. I'm not the best when it comes to judging rust, so looking for some opinions from this group.

Its surface rust. Looks very similar to mine when I bought it. I treat mine like bridge work. Anytime something is taken off that allows access to a rusty bit, I scrub it off with a wire brush or an air grinder with an abrasive pad then paint with Implement Paint from Tractor Supply.

Grab a hammer and screw driver, poke around for rot. If everything is solid and the body is good I say go for it! We need more info, to start mileage and asking price.. got a good amount of work ahead of you (ask me how I know).

More than I'd like to see but not horrible. It needs to be addressed NOW however.

He's had it for a year. He said it's been well maintained but no documentation or specific maintenance history. Then again, he also said no rust.

What's the body look like? Is it stock? Modified? It's hard to know if the price is good without more information. I agree that the rust looks manageable but only if you stop it now. I'd budget for taking care of it if you plan to buy.
