I am interested to know if anybody is running 16x8, 80 Series rims/wheels on their 70 Series cruisers. I am sure that they are close to zero offset. Or will I need a negative offset of -20 to -40.

Have 33" tires now, but eventually I would like to run 35" tires so don't want to limit my options.

Regards,
David.

i run 35''s on cruiser offset 16x8s which is a little less offset than 15x8's which are -22. You will get bad rubbing on the inner rear arches if your running no spacers or a stock rear diff if your suspension is flexy enough.

As a matter of course, any cruiser we buy, we standardise by fitting 8x16 toyota steel rims. Of course over the years number of studs has changed, but otherwise the same wheel. We have fitted to:
75
80
105
79

I stuck with 6.5 for my 78, but the 8 would have fitted no problem. We like 'em as we can swap wheels around, standardise tyres etc.
