I have done this on both my cruisers and it is truly a pain in the nether regions. As I recall you first need to install the soft gasket that the windows will run in. Be sure to line up the window catches with the correct slots in the gasket. On at least one of mine the gasket was maybe 1 cm to long so I just trimmed it to fit. Pop in the windows and the middle vertical stay bar. Up to this point it is real easy. Now you have to line up the main gasket and wrap it round the outside of the frame. This is also pretty straight forward. Once the main gasket is on you need fish the lip of the gasket over the metal frame edge. Be careful not to trap the window run gasket under the main gasket lip. I used a 90º pick (Similar to what a dentist might use) to gently lift the seal over the frame. It took freaking ages and involves a few choice words. You need to do both sides of each frame. It may be possible to put the main gasket on first but I can't remember if you have have access to the screws that hold the vertical stay. Either way its good to remind yourself that you will have lovely sliding windows and will never need to touch them again.

I have my frame (sash) pulled out and cleaned and ready to replace the inside runs for the windows and the big outer weatherstrip. What I don't get is FSM says in order to replace 1 WEATHERSTRIP first on frame then 2 INSIDE RUNS then 3 install glass by gently spreading frame then finally 4 screw in the center weatherstrip. But what I don't get is how you can screw in the center weather strip if the big outer weatherstrip is already covering the screw holes on the frame?

It seems like the glass runs must go in first then the glass, center strip screw in then finally the big outer shell last?

Could you install the weather strip outside the vehicle and then predrill the holes and then take out and follow instructions from there?

So there's an access hole to screw in the center strip on the BOTTOM of the exterior weatherstrip but not the top. So you need to screw in the top, then put on the weatherstrip and when all set and windows back in lastly screw in the bottom screw of the center support which has the hole.

Just got my re-weatherstripped rear quarter windows back in place and ready to put plastic louvers back on.

Can anyone with knowledge or experience confirm this is seated correctly with a small gap at top corner? Or should it be flush? Does the weatherstrip on plastic louver go over or under the lip of the weatherstrip on the window frame? This project was delayed waiting for parts and I forgot how everything came off.

I just looked at mine, and the plastic lip on the louver slides under the weatherstripping for the window.
