I have a friend that is a proud owner of a nice TJ. He was bragging the other day about his Jeep and what his Jeep club does. I let him go on about it and I enjoyed the conversation. I don't have any malace for Jeeps. I don't want one, but to each his own. As the conversation progressed it slowly turned to Heep vs. FJ40. Now he wasn't dumb enough to challenge me directly but placed me aginst another highly modified Jeep owner in his club. My 40 is a work in progress and has alot left to be done to it and he knew this fact. I let the challenge linger on for a while unanswered. I then asked him a simple question about his Heep club. I innocently asked him what was the most popular model and year Heep was in his club. He said that he wasn't really sure but agreed the year models were mostly 2000's and a few late 90's . I then dropped the bomb on him. Our club has 60's, 70's, 80's, 90's, and a few 2000 and above. That is the difference between a Heep Club and a TLC Club. We still abuse 30 and 40 year old vehicles and they take it and more. You abuse a few 15 year old vehicles and the rest are practically new from our point of view. He suddenly tucked tail and ran in defeat.
I agree with others in reference to Jeeps: Jeeps are cute but Barbie drives a Jeep.
