How to Restore Factory Black Pearl Tailgate Emblem

Not sure if this has been posted before but thought it is best to share. Instagram user @Daurunner posted how to restore the black pearl factory tailgate emblem on a collectors edition and they came out like new. Great work.

Wow, that's awesome. Back when I had a 3rd gen 4R with the OEM black pearl emblems, you were still able to buy a small container of BLACK PEARL rattle can from Testor's. A few thin coats of that along with some satin clear coat made those look individual smaller emblems like new.

Has anyone figured out how to duplicate the color/finish on the Black Pearl sombreros and 4wd emblems??

Thanks for the feature on this forum! Emblem restoration was one of the best things I did! Simple and straight forward!

As for the sombrero badges you can probably re-spray them a similar color or even gloss black
