I bought a set of the CCOT replacement sun visor blades, but I can't seem to figure out how to get the old ones off. I was trying not to have to destroy them, as they are not in terrible shape, but I guess I will if I have to.

I've loosened and removed the screw in the blades, but it doesn't seem to help to get them off. I've tried twisting and wiggling them to work them off but no lock.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

They rust on there pretty baad. The only thing you are trying to preserve is the rod and bracket, so get ugly with it.;)

I just went through this and while my old visors came off pretty easily using a utility knife :) be very careful with the set screw on the new visors. I found it very difficult to get the screw threaded into the captured nut without cross threading it. Keep the visor (captured nut) on a flat surface and be patient, I am ordering my second set of visor blades due to lack of patience HTH

Thanks for the help!

I guess I will have to destroy the old ones... I hate to do that to OEM parts, and these aren't in terrible shape, just don't look new and are kind of bent from me trying to force them to move when they were frozen up.

Oh well. C'est La vie.
