The paint on my side moldings has been flaking off for the last 5 years but decided to let go this past weekend when I introduced them to pressurized water. It is the same on both sides of the vehicle.

Is there a paint stripper that could soften the remaining stuck paint on the moldings without damaging or staining the plastic? If possible, I would like to strip all of the paint on the side moldings. Any ideas?
I am not opposed to masking and painting, but there are many threads out there detailing that process.
