My 98' LX470 just passed 311k miles and the driver's seatbelt is torn slightly (from longterm wear) and needs replacement. I found a replacement but am not sure how to remove the assembly from the side panel/pivot point. In the other threads Ive read on this subject, most guys just gave up (and could do so b/c they were just cleaning the belts) but mine needs a full replacement.
Anybody know what the steps are or have the portion of the service manual that shows how to remove it?
Thanks!

First thing to do is disconnect the battery negative terminal. There is a small explosive charge (pre-tensioner) in the front seatbelt mechanisms that you don’t want to fool with. Once you get in there you’ll see the yellow connector for it.

After that it’s just removing the trim pieces on the center pillar and unbolting stuff. In the attached PDF you can see that process starting at step 20.
