I am suprized they flattened out with that load you have some heavy springs in that beast.
Not sure on what type of wood that is you are hauling but it should not be that heavy to flatten the springs are those the stock shackles they look longer than normal that may be causing the proplem the only thing I would suggest is add some more leafs into the pack.

The springs arent really heavy duty ,i think mate that because of the alloy tray being lighter than the steel ones the PO must have taken some leafs out for comfort your rite about longer leafs i know the 78 troopys and 79 utes not sure about 76 series and shortys but the78 79s get longer rear leafs than the 75s etc im not to concerned i never carry loads and as soon as the work shops free of space my 105 series rear diff is going in with coils :D

Yea mate they are a very common ride
they fellow across the street its a bundera with 33's i think , it has the petrol motor not sure what motors bundys come with but he forever has the bonnet up on it and yelling at it lol :D
(Note splint.. stick and duct tape holding my snapt areial on ;)

Nice fix an the aeriel. I think the Bundy has a 2.4 22R Engine. Same Engine and runing gear as the early Hi-Lux. Underpowered and Lightweight. The coils offer a smother ride than my leafs tho.

I wish had those cruisers available here.

Its a mix of a few trees my brothers a tree surgeon/lopper and were they dump all there logs, a retired fella splits it up and sell $50 a ute load

I wish had those cruisers available here.
i love it , looking at cruiser utes driveing around all day

A pic of mine with a 350kg load on. The ride is just perfect. I can drive over small curbs and speed humps and barely notice on it the rear axle;)

The left hand one got wiped out on a rock. Im going to get some of those arb steps and brush bars one day or maybe just make some sliders

Nice rig Rosco,

Is that a pop top tent on the back?
How much did that set you back and how comfy?

Yes its a pop up sleeper, very comfy. Its supposed to be 2 person but there is no way 2 adults could be comfortable.
I mainly use it for overnight stays, for longer stays Im getting an Oztent RV4 which will sit behind the spare tyres

Ive got over $10K into it. It has 100 amp battery ,lights, tailgate kitchen,80 litre waeco.
The front door has a 6ft drawer on sliding rails.

Plenty of pics and explanations here

Very nice set up Rosco.

I'm looking RTT's at the moment.

Cheers Mate.

Not sure what your limit is,but the South Africans make some good ones in the $2000 range.
There are RTTs in the under $1000,not sure what they are like.
Dont forget to start a thread in the expedition forum.

You may have noticed I had another RTT before the current one. The old one was better in many ways but I needed room up there for a spare tyre.
