Does anyone have ideas for how to lower the rear sway bar attachment?

From what I can tell, there appear to be a couple of different ways in which the rear sway bar attaches to the frame. For some of these attachments, I've seen brackets for sale that allow for lower (e.g., from Slee).

However, I have not seen a bracket that would extend the version that I have in my vehicle: see picture below.

Any suggestions? I'd like to lower this by about 2".

(sorry about the sideways picture, not sure why it is not showing up on the correct orientation.)

I had mine cut and and extensions welded in, basically an extension tube that has the same internal diameter as the external diameter as the sway bar, drops it about 2"
Really helps with both handling and axle articulation

I hate to be the one... but what exactly does lowering the sway bar do in the back? I took (broke) the one on the front and didn't see any improvements other than teh front end compressing and ride getting much better on FS roads.
