My 71FJ40 has an aftermarket Ignition cylinder with the screw posts in the back with the corresponding wires going to the coil, starter, battery, etc.

I want to upgrade back to Toyota parts, but the cylinder has plug type ends and requires the corresponding ignition switch to hook it up. If I did this, how do I hook up the ignition switch? The wires on this toyota switch all go to a central circular looking plastic part....where does this then get connected?

I hope I'm being clear enough here.....

Thanks for any help..

Also, this truck was re-wired by the PO and has an aftermarket wiring harness.

Oh man, I think I found out already. That circular thingy actually has the posts on the back. I haven't ordered it yet, so I was only able to rely on pictures. So, this ignition switch cable just plugs into the back of the ignition cylinder and then the wires I have will connect to the other end. Elementary.

Jeez.....its been fun talking to myself.
