Adding a TEQ window decal to your 80 is a great way to authenticate your rig. But a misapplied decal with air bubbles can look terrible, at best. If you follow a few simple tips, applying your decal quickly and cleanly, with no air bubbles is a reality.

Things you'll need:
Glass cleaner
Paper towels
Sharpie
Decal
Tape

1. Clean dirt off of the window with glass cleaner and paper towels.

2. Place your TEQ decal in the area where you'd like it to be. Hold it temporarily in place with a few small pieces of tape. Step back from the window and make sure it's in the position you'd like.

3. Mark the edges of where the decal will be on the window with your marker. A heavy line is not necessary. Just make a few dots to give you guides for the location.

4. Remove the decal and tape from the window. Peel off the backing from one end of the decal.

5. Apply the decal, working from one end to the other. Slowly remove the backing as you go and press down firmly as you move along. If you start to see a bubble appear, slowly peel back until it disappears and resume placing the decal until you've finished.

This is an easy way to install a vinyl decal and leaves you satisfied about your installation. :D HTH

:D it will help when I recieve them decals I ordered. Won't the rear defrost heating element affect the decal and cause it to unstick? Been avoiding putting decals around there cause I thought it would.

I have never had this as a problem.

You made me click the date to see if it was April 1st
:)

Honestly, as bad as this sounds it needs to be spelled out for some folks....:whoops:

I ALWAYS use a spray bottle with a water/soap mix (VERY little soap) and a rubber squeegee for all my vinyl/palstic stickers.

ALWAYS!

It will give you time to move into place (without having to pull back sticker) and lots of time to squeege out the air bubbles.

Especially on tranparent stickers, where fingerprints and re-stciking can leave ugly marks.

And if the sticker is Vinyl and will be placed in an non-flat surface a good heat gun will help in forming the sticker o surface.

Sweet. One of my crappy stickers fell off and would love to replace it with a teq sticker.

p.m'ing you tomorrow.

Van the 80 in the picture looks so familiar?

If i used the wrong method do I have to take all mine off and reapply them? I feel so stupid...

I just peel them off and replace them when they get too ratty looking. The rear defrost will not do anything to your stickers. The sun beating down on your van on a hot day gets a little warmer than our crappy defrost elements.

Sticker application for dummies. Clean mounting surface. Pull off backing and stick on. Done

You have to start putting stickers on the PS side of the truck to level out the added weight of the driver. Other wise you will need to add some 1mm spacers.
