My passenger side head rest wont go up or down. I need to get them out for seat covers. Is there a secret or just 35 years stuck? I looked for a lever but there isn't one.

They just have small notches on the back side of the bars. Pull it forward and up. They can be tough.

It's easier to do if you are behind the seats on the rear floor. Push the headrests forward and pull up at the same time.
