i am looking to get these very fine scratches out of a fascia made of stainless steel --

-- they're so fine you can't feel them with your finger, and can see them in just the right light --

    -- rubbing compound? 600 grit?

    THANKS!

    scratches and grained ss= :frown:

any easy fix will also mess up the grained finish.
a fix that isn't quite as easy, but works.
get a DA sander with the "brown" surface prep pads.
    go over the whole part
it will "ruin" the grained finish, BUT it will leave you an equally nice finish(IMO a better one).
you will also be to "fix" it agian in the future.
