i could go home to look but thats hours away...

wondering if anyone else already figured this out.

do i remove the windshield wiper motor? to fold down?

how easy is this process.

i remeber looking at it and it, seemed to not have enough room to fold down.

thanks

Th later model FJ-40's with the low mount wiper motors are equiped with windshield hinges which move the 'shield forward as the 'shield comes down. No worries.

??? Are you asking if you need to remove the wiper motor to just fold down the windscreen and go "safari style"??? unscrew the dash knobs/bolts and fold it down... thats it. Instant coolness!!!

thanks to all

i just wanted to make sure i could do this during the summer and not ride aroud looking like a douchebag.

thanks again

Well if you do drive around and still look like a douchebag it won't be the cruiser's fault:grinpimp:

I was surprised how windy it is with the windshield down.

Is anyone aware of a roof rack system(think Gobi) that allows for front windshield to be operated? (lowered)

The hard top needs to come off to fold the windshield down, so the two things (roof rack and lowered windshield are not compatible.
