Has anyone ever seen a cruiser at a dealer with nice parts and wondered if they could persuade them to sell the parts? I recently saw an overpriced and high mileage cruiser on ebay that had an ARB bull bar and Kaymar rear bumper with swing out tire carrier...it had a buy it now of $8495 with 221500 miles and no lockers. I emailed the seller about selling the ARB and Kaymar, but he won't give...Anyone have any pointers?

    Link to ebay posting.

I think you have to buy the vehicle, swap the parts, then resell it.

I also think they don't want to part out the mods because they think they exponentially increase the value of the vehicle, like a lot of sellers that want to get the parts and labor out of their vehicles, when it actually may devalue them.

The only hint I would have is drive to the lot with factory replacement parts, already pulled from your rig, a set of tools to swap them on the spot, and enough cash to make it worth their time, including them having to completely relist the vehicle.

And unfortunately, I still have the 89 K5 in my sig line.

Hank, I figured as much. I also think that the mods would devalue the price to the average Joe and stock looking truck would have a better chance in being bought (again, by the average buyer). That's why I offered him my stock parts and money...

That deal looks reasonable enough to buy it, swap the parts with a locked 80, and then turn around and sell it again- unkless the PO trashed the thing. Where in TX is it?
