Can anyone give some help on getting to the bottom attachment point and or removing the painted metal strip below the headlights on a 2006 100 series?

kinda stuck in there and not trying to break things...

thanks!

If I recall correctly, it's a bumper drop job because the bottom attachment point is inaccessible. A lot of people will cut that bottom attachment point on the headlight housing into more of a slot shape, so that in the future they will not have the same struggle of getting the housing out.

Yes, I finally figured that out earlier before your post.
Even so, thanks for your kindness in posting that.

Nope, it definitely took dropping the bumper cover down to get to the lower bolts that are under the metal trim piece.
The bolt heads were just behind the edge of the bumper cover.

I am replacing my passenger’s side light assembly next, so I may do a quick how-to since it wasn’t here when I needed it.
