Hi guys
Does anybody know how much "power" Land Cruiser 60 axles can handle?
I am building a off road racer with about 5-600bhp engine and i am wondering if i can use axles from a Land Cruiser 60 that i have.
Any help is appreciated.

550-ish hp and racing won't be kind to 60 axles, IMHO. Even after throwing $ at them, I think they'd let you down too often.
What terrain, and how much do you estimate the finished vehicle to weigh?

The terrain will be mostly sand and mud uphill (Formula Offroad).
its weight will be close to 1000 kg

meh you should be ok on the soft stuff like that, prolly run some poly rears and of course some longs up front to be safe.
on higher traction stuff id think twice, that being said ill prolly keep the cruiser axles till i am doin nothing but bustin em or need to swap em to work with an engine / trans swap later.

That's definitely more power than a stock 60, but it's a lot lighter too. If it isn't a full floater rear(I'm assuming you're not from the US, since you used Kg's) then I would probably run some rear discs so I didn't lose a wheel if I snapped a rear shaft(since it sounds like you'll be moving along quickly).

Sand and mud are generally the most forgiving terrain types. What size tires are planned?

Formula Offroad is an Icelandic thing; Ever see the rigs that drive over water, 35" Overdrive?? That's Formula Offroad, as I know it.

Edit: I'd never guess those rigs were only around 2,200 lbs.
