sorry if this has been asked a million times i did a quick search and didn't find much .
anyways i was looking in the FSM and it shows a different amount of gear oil depending on if the t-case is from a 3spd tranny or a 4spd tranny ,
I never noticed this before
the reason i am asking is that i need to fill mine and the fill plug on mine is permanently JB welded in place so i cannot fill it until it flows out the fill plug. i fill mine through the top breather hole.
so how much should i pour in the t-case ? see pic from FSM
why is there a difference between the two cases, mine is a 3spd t-case attached to a sm465. what would happen if i put 2.5 liters into the 3spd t-case?
that seems like a big difference between the two to me. i just want to make sure i get enough into mine without having to pull the fill plug.
