We bought our '89 FJ62 on Oct 30, 1990. It had 15K on the odo. It has been on the lot for about 60 days. The PO traded it in on an FJ80 (she liked the rounded shape better). We were just outside of Clarksville, TN back then. There were only two other 'Cruisers in the area. Drove to Nashville quite often and still didn't see too many. It's been hit twice by other drivers and been in two high-speed front end collisions from other drivers not yielding. No one in the 'Cruiser was ever injured in any of the accidents.
Just rolled past 201K last week. Still mostly stock 'sept for the H42 swap. It's my DD and weekend Scout hauler for camping.
 
ya the accident survival thing is a big plus, my mom got rearended in mine at freeway speeds when she was at a dead stop, dented the bumper... the lil econo special that hit it got crumpled all the way to the driver seat
