Original owner fj40 1978!!! 487,000 miles.

Seriously? Now THAT is cool! Shame she's not an '81 with the extra digit on the odometer.
I grant thee the iron backside award on behalf of this thread. You are the Irv Gordon of Mud.
Any info anywhere on what you've done to her to get such longevity?

My first FJ40 was 84 from 1995 to 2004 (sold)
second is FJ45 84 from 2009 -current

I've owned mine since Feb of 2002. Bought it when I was 16. Was my DD through HS and my first go at college.

Day I bought it!

October 1980 I got my '74. Since then I've had a '70, '71, '75 & '76. They are all gone, only the '74 is left.

he put 113000 miles on it since placing it in his sigline

Since Dec 1991 +/- 100,000 miles... 22years... Wish it was a nicer truck when I started.

32 years.... (And that doesn't suggest mine might be ready to be sold yet either .... for those other vultures out there.)

i bought it in october of 77 in las vegas it is a 8/77 build. still have the window sticker and bill of sale. all stock even those white flares were a dealer add on (listed on the bill of sale)-0-- except for the half doors-- how it sits in the pic (gotta get some better pics) is pretty much how i bought it-- Just passed those lovely california smog laws at 144 000 miles--- can't begin to tell you the adventures i have had in her in the last 36 years. Kayaker when are you going to chime in? 31x10.50x15's and the white spokes were also part of the original add on listed on bill of sale

I am such a newby. 441 days and counting. Have driven it almost every day, and am disappointed when I can't.

Day I bought it...and how it sits now (minus the fenders). Still haven't got to drive it even three years later.

Sent from the islands.

We bought our 1962 FJ40 when my wife was pregnant with our daughter. Our daughter turns 16 this year. I have only driven it one since buying it and that was the trip home. Started tearing it down right away for a paint job, and here's where I'm at.

What the heck is wrong with me.

We picked up our 1971 FJ40 in 2006 so we've had it for 7 years

Ah, I've been in Peru for the last three weeks so I missed the thread.

I've updated my before and after photo since the last posting. First photo the day the wife and I brought it home from the dealer, summer of 72. Second the 40th anniversary reshoot. We're at 41 years and counting.
