I went with the Marlin's based on the same economics. They did come with 555 ends. The only drawback is the rods don't have a ground flat for tightening the nut which would have been nice.
I ordered the Marlin kit this week, scheduled to arrive Monday. Price was right for the entire kit and shipping was cheap as well. Will post up some pics when it arrives.

Marlin kit came in yesterday, fast shipping and was packed well. It's been a while since I've replaced tie rods so I'm a little rusty. I've got an older fsm for the 60 and 70 series that explains the replacement procedure but it describes joints with zert fittings to apply the grease after install. My stock Fzj80 tie rods don't have zerts so it presented a few questions.

Couple of questions:
1. There are no zerts on the new 555 ends, so do I need to take the boots off and apply grease to the joints or are they good out of the box.
2. I also was reading that people use anti-seize on the threads, what brand is good?
3. Would it be a good idea to use locktite on the jam nuts?
