Took a day off & spent it with Mrs, she got her cast off this afternoon.

Good to get some time together without the kids or me already sour from the office. I’ll call today a win!

7 Great Dane pups eh? Good times

Made it out for a few fun excursions with the kiddos last month. We are lucky to have 70 degree weather this time of year which lends itself to patio dining at a social distance. Mama is pregnant with #4 (Due in July) so I won't be joining you for a PP'21 if there is one. Miss wheeling with you guys. Hope you are doing well.

P.S.
Even got to get out for some Moto Therapy last weekend. Feeling lucky.

Baby due in July?
PP is in June - problem solved! See you there...

80 series guy here, but I like the idea of people checking in on one another and sharing their experiences. I primarily work alone, outside, away from most other people. So my work life is unaffected. My home life with my wife and dog is going smoothly. We were pretty accustomed to eating out from time to time and we do miss those luxuries, but we’ve also used this time to tackle long overdue house projects. I’m reading a lot more than I used to, and by saving money from not eating out as frequently, it has translated into more money for working on my Cruiser.

We’re all healthy, sometimes the boredom gets a little tedious. I have a wandering spirit that needs to be exercised frequently and not traveling much this last year has been difficult. However, I’m just about about to finish Desert Solitaire by Edward Abbey and it has ignited a renewed sense to explore SW UT again. If I can’t travel far on the road, traveling in the mind is just as vivid at times.

Nice to have you in here @Dirt Ferguson - welcome! We are a fun/silly group, but I feel like we do look out for each other in here.

There is some magic in getting more time to read, isn't there?

And saving $ from eating in is pretty nice, eh?

I was just telling a friend about Abbey and Desert Solitaire, what a great read! I wish they included Freedom and Wilderness in that work.

Glad to hear you and the Mrs. are staying healthy.

N. California? There is some beautiful country up there. One time I got to take a last-minute work trip to Crescent City, that just about blew my mind! Redwoods by the ocean? Far out! It was a fun trip. It made me want to bring the family back for a vacation.

Be well, stop by anytime!

A day w/ my sweetie and all is right with the world again! Glad you got that time...

@PabloCruise thanks for all that.

Desert Solitaire is one of those books I have been meaning to read for about 20 years and finally getting around to it is rewarding. I love imagining what Moab and all of SW UT was like in the late 1960s, especially compared to how it is now.

CA gets a bad rap sometimes, and rightfully so, but the diversity of natural beauty is a life-long pursuit and if you want to get away from big crowds and long lines, you just have to put in some work and do your research. It’s a state the size of a small country and you can find almost every climate on the planet imaginable. That’s pretty cool. Both the highest point and lowest point in the CON US is in CA, Coastal Redwoods, desert, high alpine mountains, meadows, rivers, lakes, the ocean coast line. A lot to love.

Much to like about CA. Our faves are far northern parts, including the coasts, backside of the Sierras and the rural areas south of Oregon. Don’t get me started on the Oregon coast. Incredible.

I was struck by how different N Ca is from SoCal. My Dad used to get assigned to San Diego for his active duty and he would bring the fam. It was fun, but different world than what I saw on that visit...

We'll be departing N. Florida headed to Oregon in March. Lots of stops in between, Houston with in-laws, Colorado proffitts, LC museum. Then jump over to Oregon and fly home. Staging a truck for the Rubicon in June. Redwoods on the bucket list for is also.

Is it me, Or is this a weak-sauce super bowl?
Super Bowl? Never heard of her.

I grew up in the Bay Area and moved to San Diego in '06. SoCal is different than NorCal but I find that San Diego isnt quite like the rest of SoCal, but also isnt quite NorCal either. Anyway, I like my state, it has served me well.
