Mom landed in the hospital last night, hoping for the best.

The plant is on full panic mode as several guys in different departments have tested positive over the last few weeks. One long time veteran of the company is currently on a vent, the only one I’m aware of who’s been hospitalized. He’s asthmatic which of course has aided in complicating things.
So anyways, we have to wear masks in offices and break rooms, or when more than one person is riding in a vehicle.
One guy that tested positive and took his 14 days off and tested negative before returning mentioned that he still hadn’t fully recovered his sense of taste. Weird.

It is crazy how some places are handling this differently. We always have to have a mask on at work and our crews are all driving separately. We have had only 2 cases in our office and no one passed it on. Our cleaning crew said they clean an office that has had 26 cases.

Wife and I are sitting in the Atlanta airport waiting on a flight to Paris. We are on to Riyadh afterwards. We both had something like our 6th negative COVID tests this week in order to get back. Hoping to get vaccinated soon. Crazy times.
Had a great 4 weeks with the family over Christmas and New Year. Newest granddaughter was baptized this morning. Hard to leave but work calls.

Mom tested negative for the Rona. She has blood clots in both lungs and the MRI showed a stroke. I thought I should get over there to see her, but we can't go see her in the hospital.
So we wait...

I feel very fortunate she is still here with us. I think it easily could have turned out the other way.
I also feel very fortunate that I get to start a new job in a couple of weeks. Very happy about that!
