Got here around 3 pm; showered and took the pig for some exercise to Publix to pick up a few things. Sent my son for pork barbecue takeout from Chuck’s in Opelika. We’ve been eating there since we were in school here; more years ago than I care to admit. Went to bed at 6 and slept 12 hours.

Saw a small racked buck this morning tipping through the woods from our side porch. Watched him for a few minutes while having a coffee. Great to be home!

Just got back from Home Depot. It’s driving well except that high pitched, intermittent squeal. No major pig plans except maybe one interior door handle. Lots of house projects though. Daughter already bought us a 10’ tree so we’ll start there and work on decorating. Might change the driveway flood lights to LED. I think there’s only 35 or so of them. Those 250 watt halogen burn some juice.

Have a half cord of firewood to burn through. T-shirt weather today though.
