Ok, so it's not as hot here as other parts of the country, but it is 101 here today.

That combined with the usual stank makes for a great subway ride.

103 I just head on the Radio with a heat index of 110. Radio station is passing out beer to people who can get eggs to fry on the asphalt, i bet it gets up to 105~106 since it doesn't get nasty hot until about 3:30 or 4. I'm gonna have to go hit the pool I think.

LOL, where the hell ARE you? My thermometer reads 93! (If you're looking at the one on your dashboard, well, that doesn't count, since you probably were stuck in traffic behind a bus! :flipoff2: )

Actually, the subway was the coolest part of my day so far. And I just LOVE what the ladies are wearing in this weather. :D :D :D

I'm in bogus mid-town. 55th and Third. The old New York Magazine building said 101.

    Where the hell are YOU?

I don't mind the subway once I'm in car, but the platform on Canal street is rough.

Upper East Side (E. 70th to be more precise)--I just checked again, it says 97! (I use WeatherUnderground.com, which uses the thermometer in Central Park).

I'll be at the New York Magazine building next Tuesday, going to a baseball game with someone who works there. Should be cooled down there by then, huh?

Anyway, when it gets this hot and I'm standing on the platform or walking on the sidewalk, I just fixate on something nice to look at and all of a sudden the heat doesn't feel so bad. What a wonderful public service. :D

Been in the "low" triple digits for ~2 or 3 weeks now. We did get a couple of high 90's last week though. Just gives me an excuse to take the boat out more.

It was in the high 90s, like 96-97-98 with high 90s humidity...

Yesterday, it cooled down to the 80s, and is quite pleasent.

Hovering around 100 with heat indexes over 110 for the last few days. 90-100% humidity. Ugh

The heat's been tap dancing on the 100 degree line for most of July. A few days above 100...a few days just below 100...

I think we're close to tying or beating a record for the most 100 + degree days in July.

...but it's a dry heat

It's supposed to be something like 102 today.

Forget my post about the cool weather in N. Florida....Today is 98 hazy (2.5 mile visibility) and about 80% humidity. Lows about 82. Oh and also the wind in non-existant. St. John's River looks like an oil slick right now.

Hehe, I know...my sister (Ohio) couldn't believe that it could go from about 100 for a high to a high of 63 in 1-2 days...

Have you noticed that our heat index is lower than the actual temperature usually? Since the humidity is so low, it actually feels less hot than it is...for example a few days ago it was 94, but felt like (heat index) 89... :D
