Or do like I did, I switched my 1962 back to three on the tree, very few people will know how to drive that.

but quite honestly, I just can't see why anybody would want to steal my truckI mean, they can all anticipate it won't go fast much - plus, it is pretty easy to recognize

There is actually 70s jeep in our garage that has what looks like a yellow plastic chain that he runs through his steelies and around the interior through his wheel.steel cable?
...to a tree stump?

Not in texas!Cool idea but some how I don't see this happening in the US. Criminals have way to many rights. They would have a lawyer say they were just asking for directions when you lite them up. Your insurance company is not going to back you up and in the end you will probably end up on the street homelees by the time your done with our court system.![]()
nothing is fool proof but this would make them think twice..
locked into reverse-
great set up!!!
this usually works for me!!
Wheel block? Line lock in the brake line? Old military style battery disconnect is what I used on an old GMC I had years ago. Bayonet type fuse in dash as a dummy pull switch. Wire the truck with 220 vac? lol. Explosives so no one can have if stolen? Who knows, an endless amount of ideas but like computer virus protection, someone somewhere will eventually beat it. I guess anything as said is not fool proof other than the rifles but you have to hear or see a target to shoot it.
Ignition fuse is simple; take it out. But rarely do theives start up vehicles anymore......the pros lift up the front or back and tow it depending on steering wheel bar or access. Best to parallel park against the curb between 2 cars and take out ig fuse.
I think a Club is effective, because not every punk carries a hacksaw. If you park night after night in the same place, your vehicle is more vulnerable, because crooks can study it and figure out how to take it.
I think the lock-it-in-reverse trick is the best of all - again, realizing that it can be flat-towed/stolen that way, too.
The club is effective as it stops the person who is just looking for something to steal for a joy ride into the woods or home. Nothing will stop someone who is out to specifically steal your FJ40.
How do you get that off to even drive it? I see the lock but how does it attach on the stick?nothing is fool proof but this would make them think twice..
