How do you all seal up the floor hole where the rear heater hard lines were? (1 Viewer)

Any ideas? Its like a 2x2 hole in the floor under the passenger seat.

A. Weld, prime, paint.

B. Rubber stopper.

C. Duct tape and a prayer.

D. Do not use silicone caulking, it attracts rust and ruin.

Personally, I used some flexible caulking and nonporous filler material. Then I used blind rivets to attach part of an old license plate on the interior.

Or, if you spend a few hours on the internet searching, you may
be able to find a correct size/shape oval rubber or plastic plug that fits.
(maybe another Wits-End project?? I want a royalty for each part sold )

For a quick fix for something like this I've used heavy duty HVAC aluminum tape
(Home Depot, Lowe's), two (or more) sheets, one from above and one from underneath after cleaning off (degreasing) all surfaces well. It should last for awhile in that location, but won't remain waterproof forever.

Cut out that size and shape from the lid of a pickle jar. Cut a piece of an old child size rubber boot to match. Roof sealing caulk and rivets to seal and fasten all in place.
Or... just use your imagination.

Clean the upper and lower surface and high heat dynamat sandwich the opening and surrounding area.

Did the job today. This really frees up some nice storage space under the seat.

I used a Rubbermaid lid cut to fit, high temp RTV, and 4 rivets. I also removed the RS3000 security system today.

I cleaned bottom of body with power purple and used a 7" x 7" of cool it Thermo Tec

I first used sticky sided aluminum tape, top and bottom, that came with the bypass walk around kit as well
