How Do I Remove Roof Rack Cross Members? (1 Viewer)

Hi all,

Can someone please instruct me as to how I remove the cross members from my 1999 100 Series? I have another member that may be selling his and we both need to know how to remove them without creating any damage.

you have to take the side rails off then slide the cross members out of the track. There are end caps on each of the ends of the side rails. Pop those off carefully and then there are some torex screws you will have to remove. Unscrew those and the side rails should come off. Then just loosen the nuts on the cross members and slide them out. Reverse process to re-install.

Doesnt take long, i took my cross rails off while waiting on a steak to grill one evening. its a job that only requires a and a torex driver.
