I am thinnking of buying a set of rims from a friend who does not know what the back spacing is.
Do I need a 10" or 12" rim for 33"x12.5"x15"
I know I need a six lug rim, but is 5.5" correct.
thanks

6 on 5.5" is correct....honestly, IMO, you need an 8" rim for a 12.5" section width tire, but 10" will work.

12" rims on a 12.5" tire has been done, best saved for the "pimp my ride" types tho...

I like this photo of measuring

You can also just lay the rim on the floor, backside down, and measure from the floor to the mounting surface.

The 5.5" is NOT the backspacing.

6 on 5.5 refers to the bolt pattern.

Try this site. Lots of tire & rim info.
Just put a new set of white steelies on my 75.
They have 3.5" back spacing 3.25" would be perfect, but
I have to run a 1/4" space plate behind the right front because
it's very close.
