Hey,
Not sure if you guys follow the thread on the main forum but I've been having mega problems trying to get my cruiser starting up again.

I received about 4 days ago and drove it for about 5-10 miles. Brought it back to my house and turned it off. About 10 minutes later wanted to go check the mail and attempted to start the car up again but i got this clicking sound.. Tried again same thing.. Tried again a few hours later and the clicking ceased.

The next day I tried to fire up the vehicle but the thing was completely dead. The lights and signals were working in the morning time but by afternoon there was nothing electrical working and the fuel pump line thing wasn't making a sound either.

So far I've checked all the fuses in the circuit board but they all appear to be intact. I also checked a few spark plugs and they look good. I also replaced the battery with a new one but still the machine is completely dead :/

I just want to make sure about this one.
The ground connections...
The negative battery cable gets grounded to a bolt on the motor. HAven't touched that one.
There's also a piece of steel, almost like a piece of steel in a cloth pattern that goes from the starter to the chassis of the car.
They both look in tact but the piece of steel that looks like cloth is kind of torn though.

Are these the grounders your speaking about?

Clean the negative and positive cable good. Check that the starter connections are tight and you should fire up. Unless the starter is out. The other grounds you mentioned are normally the ones that don't give you a starter issue.

If your wiring is still relatively stock, there's a fusable link on the positive battery cable. See if you have power to both sides of it.

ic. hopefully one of my buddies is going to come by on saturday and see if we can figure it out. if can't find a problem with the electronics, i think i'm gonna take the starter off and get it checked to see if it's faulty.
