Yeah, there are alot people that don't realize how hot it can get in the heartland.
When I was little kid (a million yrs. ago) we lived in South East Kansas (Independence), and I remember every summer we would have days in the 100's. And not a "dry" heat either.

Those FAWKING liars. They said hottest day in Denver history. Now I can't believe anything Kathy says but I'll keep watching :D

At least it was dry heat. Being from humidity it really didn't seem to bad  . Kinda felt like it was about 80 with humidity :grinpimp:

F' that! I raced mountain bikes in Florida, in the summer, and I don't remember being this uncomfortable! But then they say the memory is the first thing to go!

Can I have some cheese with this whine please?

Hehe - my grandparents live in Medford/Central Point, but haven't spent a summer there in probably 20 years. They head over to Gold Beach some time in June every year and don't come back until October. I remember spending summers in Medford as a little kid. There were a whole lot of days where we'd stay in the pool for 6 hours straight.

Have fun at the coast and bring back fishing reports :D I'm headed down to Gold Beach to flyfish for kings sometime in September.

I'll believe anything Kathy Sabine says...she's too hot to lie.. :D

Not sure what the humidity was at the hottest part but at like 5:00pm it was 8% :D Alot better than KC's 50% today, and alot of places over 50% I suspect...I know I've seen Denver's humidity as low as 2% before...

I switched to HD and it added 20 years to all of the news celebs. There is too much detail that they need to rethink the makeup they use.

    We don't need AC!

It is so dry that we just sit around and bitch about it being a "dry heat"

Vs. the Bettys in America's Wang saying "Oye! It's so humid!"

No AC needed, we just go wheeling. The problem is we had to report to work today. I tried to explain that I didn't feel like working today and wanted to go play but they made me work anyway.
