Mind you this is all on a stock gauge, but my 2h with similar mileage now never goes over half, and only reaches half under heavy loads. Before I adjusted the valves I was getting up to half and over on any small load. I am also running 33's and 3.73- makes for a very gutless ride. As stated above, with 35's I would definatlely regear to bring the 2h back into its massive power band. best.
I thought are very important have proper valve adjutsting .. must if are exhaust valves .. they afect the exhaust hot gases from the engine .. also if you put a header you can drop the temp ..
I thought the better grearing for 33" are 4.11 for overal use .. if you plan a lots of twing .. go for 4.56 ..
Turned out to be the set up I had. DO NOT WIRE AN AFTERMARKET GUAGE TO THE FACTORY SENDING UNIT........
I drilled and tapped the sending unit that came with the guage to the top of the stat housing. When the stat opens the guage reads 190*F which is right for the stat reading of 88*C. Went for a boot and the hottest the truck got under any load over 550*C for as long as 1.5min was 205*F and then it would cool to 195*F. At Idle its just under 190*F.
Tapage the factory stat here is 88*C unless there are temp options which I didnt ask. OEM stat.
I had the same overheating problem with my 13B-T. I pulled the rad to replace it and eliminate that as a problem when I realized that it was plugged up. Before uninstalling the rad I had made many attempts to clean it and I thought it was pretty clean. That was untill I pulled it out. It took me $5 at the car wash to get all of the mud out of the uninstalled rad. All of the mud was hiding behind the fan shroud. I put it back in and haven't had a problem since.
I installed a turbo on my 3B and am getting EGT's at 1050 pushing really hard uphill at 6500 ft. altitude. I have noticed that my coolant temp is getting hotter I have adjusted my fuel out 2/3 and might back it off a bit. BTW, I run 295/75 R16 BFG ATKO tires 4.10 gearing
