THanks for the info ya'll have given me and the info you will be giving me here
I've got an '86 fj60 and it's having some problems

1: She runs really hot. On any long drives I regularly have to stop to add coolant and drive with the heater on full. I have found that I an leaking from my the weep hole on the water pump and will need to replace it. After replacing the pump, are there any other relatively inexpensive things i can do to make her not over heat?

2: The speedometer cluster has died a couple of hours ago. What should I look at first to determine what is wrong. and what is the likely culprit?

3: I saw an ac conversion kit to make elderly ac run with r-134 coolant. It was really cheap. It had the lube, new o-rings and brass fittings. Does anyone have experience with this type of kit? and does it work?

Thanks everyone

i cant comment on the speedo, or the ac conversion, but if your replacing the water pump, you should flush the radiator, and make sure it is servicable, and replace, or at least clean and check the thermostat, they can sometimes get stuck in a not so open position, restricting the water flow.
